The Vision
Before Dave's passing, we made a solemn promise to complete his book, "Hidden Changes," believing it could save the life of someone facing a similar addiction, or similar circumstances. As the work is put forth to honor this pledge, please join me in reflecting on our own paths and the moments that define us, acknowledging the complexities of life's mysteries. Together, let's embark on this journey of hope and transformation as we strive to make a difference in the lives of others. As we navigate through trials, may we find strength and hope, and extend love and guidance to those in need before it is too late.
About the Authors
DAVE WILLIAMS and KAY KING were a husband and wife writing team before Dave's passing in 2022 from a drug overdose.

Dave, while serving time in prison, began to pen Hidden Changes after what he described was a lucid dream, during which he was visited by his beloved uncle - an experience he depicted briefly in the book. The ultimate direction of Dave's life detracted from some of his true talents unfortunately. At one point he had been pursued for a recording contract with Jive Records. His modeling talents led him to some music video work, and he also took up singing later in life. Prose writing was not an area he felt particularly passionate about, but divine providence would have it that he meet a woman who goes by the pen name, Kay King, and who enjoyed prose writing a great deal.

Kay, a former soldier, spent time after the military pursuing a career where she could lean in to her love of writing. While studying at university, she was determined to immerse herself totally while on a bourgeoning journalism track, and worked briefly in marketing around the same time. Kay and Dave quickly became married and brought two beautiful children into the world. In fact, it was Kay's fast-approaching due date of their first child together that became the catalyst which led to them completing Hidden Changes in just two weeks.

Over ten years in the making, the realities of actively seeking refuge from the forces of a spouse's addiction, meant that Hidden Changes died and came back to life many times. So, it is in honor of Dave's legacy and his determination to the very end, that this work is to be published. With any amount of fortune, it will be used to help some person, young or old, escape a similar fate.
